Learn with the champions of Harvard, Stanford, and Georgetown!
We are a not-for-profit student-run organization seeking to bring public speaking and debate, both very important yet often overlooked skills, to more and more students across Maryland, Virginia, and D.C. From debating about our public policies, to presenting our innovations and ideas, public speaking is truly a monumental part of our lives. Our programs will be held through Zoom, where our instructors, who have competed for many years nationally in debate and excelled in public speaking competitions, will work with students in live instruction.
Our class instructors are all high school students who have extensive experience in both public speaking and debate. Not only have they competed at competitions and tournaments nationally, but they've also received national recognition in both speech and debate.
Our virtual class is free of charge! Our in person class are $10 per class.
Each class is normally one and a half hour long with a break in between.
Normally, our class sessions are between 12-15 weeks long with one class each week.
Your student will learn both debate fundamentals as well as improve their public speaking skills in our classes. They will have many opportunities to practice, learn, and grow through hearing demo speeches, practicing mini debates, participating in hands-on activities, practicing speaking exercises, and much more!
Many students in our classes are often novices and are new to public speaking and debate. Thus, we welcome students even those without prior knowledge in debate or speaking to our classes! Additionally, our small teacher to student ratio ensures that if your student is confused or falling behind, we can tailor our curriculum to be flexible and meet the needs of your student.
